Earn your teaching degree and license, while teaching.
Our Teaching Apprenticeship program provides a pathway for educators working in elementary, secondary, and special education to progress toward their teaching degree. Educators earn college credit through their work-based competencies while taking job-related coursework through MathTrack and Indiana Wesleyan University.

“The apprenticeship gave my mentor a roadmap for how to support me. It took the guesswork out. And it gave me a view of the school I didn’t have before. Now I can confidently go into a room, ask the right questions, and contribute to the full picture of what students need.”
— Valinda Brewer, MathTrack Teaching Apprentice, Dynamic Minds Academy, Indiana
A better path forward.
An accredited bachelor’s degree is a requirement to becoming a fully licensed teacher, but the cost and time of the traditional route rarely make sense for educators who need and want to work.
This is why MathTrack Institute (MTI) developed its Teaching Apprenticeship, to provide a way to recognize the knowledge gained on the job and to connect university coursework closer to the practice of teaching.
